Hello! My name is Karisa Grimstad—a PNW native with European wanderlust, currently living in Chelan, WA, but often found (physically or mentally!) in the San Juan Islands. I’m an early riser, coffee-fueled CrossFit fanatic, and book connoisseur who can’t resist throwing a belly laugh filled party with my friends!

I am a type 7 on the Enneagram which means I’m fueled by curiosity, fun times, and the endless desire to create and experience beauty wherever I go. The moment I got my hands on my parent’s hand me down camera for blogging (yes I was that cool…) I realized how much I loved documenting life. I’m drawn to moments that feel alive—the laughter between friends, the quiet pause before vows, the golden light spilling over a mountainside. My camera is how I hold onto those glimpses of beauty and truth that remind us life is worth celebrating.

Fast forward 15 years and I’m living out my dream job capturing the most anticipated day (thus far) in a couple’s life! I thrive in making my couples feel beautiful, peaceful, and present on their wedding day. It’s the highest honor to provide the most intimate service for your wedding and I do it with professionalism, levity, and an easy presence that makes you feel seen and celebrated! With a storyteller’s heart and an editor’s eye, I weave together images that are both artful and deeply real. Every wedding I photograph is a chance to capture the unrepeatable- the sacred blend of beauty, emotion, and human connection that makes your story entirely your own.
