"Only when developed do you get to see the raw emotions and feelings that were captured unfiltered and in real time. Film has a special feeling to it that can be hard to describe in words. It’s just a feeling."

My film style is subtle but heartwarming. My process is being in the background capturing your most intimate moments while setting you up for a unique shot. I will most likely have you take the camera for a shot or two to make you apart of the process as well. I like to make everyone feel included!

How do you describe your film style?

This year I want to showcase the beauty of film and how classic it can be. My wife and I had our whole wedding shot on 35mm film and our engagement party on Super 8 and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. We loved how slow and intentional the process was and I’m excited to bring that to couples this year. I like to think of myself as the most extroverted fly on the wall where I’ll have the best time with you while capturing your most pure and intimate moments. That's what it’s all about: being intentional in the moment while anticipating the developed result where you can relive it again and again.

What makes you excited to do wedding film photos and Super 8?

I started my photography journey in 2010, although I didn’t get into film until 2019. It was a way for me to switch up my creativity until I slowly started to move more towards the film side and found myself experimenting with different formats and film stocks.

How long have you been shooting in the film genre?

Film is fascinating. It’s unpredictable and so beautiful at the same time. It’s limiting and makes you focus on what you’re doing. It forces you to think of your composition and that’s the beauty of it. The beauty of the unknown.

What do you nerd out on most with the film process?

When I was younger, my grandparents always had a film camera with them. They captured every single moment and looking back on them now, I didn’t realize how much I would treasure them. They captured everything from the flowers in bloom, to my brother and I playing in the pond.

What made you fall in love with film?
