This fall mountain family photo session in Lake Chelan was just beautiful. But it wasn’t just the surrounding beauty and this gorgeous family that made it stand out to me. Kiersten told me this photoshoot was truly a celebration of marriage, fighting the good fight, and loving through the hard times in order to get to incredibly higher places as a couple. Her words spoke volumes into the way I view photography in my own marriage, and in turn, why I work so hard to make the best experience for all my couples and families.

Getting pictures done isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (mainly toddlers, teen guys, and husbands ;D ). So I’ve worked really hard to create a photoshoot process that helps me move and direct families fluidly to get all the images you could hope for! Now, this doesn’t mean I just stick you in some concrete poses for 45 minutes. Yes, I guide all the poses (never leave ya hanging), but I integrate movement, encourage spontaneity through questions, and generally just keep inviting you and your family to tell/show me who you are.  If just maybe your husband leaves saying, “That wasn’t so bad.” I add it to my list of business victories! 😉

I love getting do my “job” more and more as the deep reasons behind why I’m doing it continue to surface. I hope you enjoy this sweet fall Chelan family session!
