I am so thrilled to share the Hirsch Gamble Sands Golf Resort Wedding today with you! I really can’t contain my excitement for how incredible Summer and Matthew’s golf loving wedding was! Every part of the day was completely and inseparably them! Their love for fun, sports, and their dearest friends and family was on full display at every turn. I met Summer and Matt last summer at their engagement session here in Lake Chelan. We instantly clicked and I was SO STOKED to document their dream wedding day. Over the next year, Summer and Matthew planned every detail of their day with beautiful precision and execution and all their work shined bright on May 20th, 2023!
All their friend’s and family stayed the weekend at the beautiful Gamble Sands Golf Resort in Brewster, WA. They golfed, did yoga, enjoyed some glorious eastern Washington May weather, and got pumped for the wedding day all together! The crew at Gamble Sands was just amazing. I mean hands down the kindest, most approachable, can-do, proactive crew I have ever met. They made everyone’s day and job so easy and fun!
Summer and Matt had intimate wedding parties that were such sweet and fun humans! The morning of getting ready was relaxed, but with an air of complete joy and emotion. The mother of the bride and mother of the groom stayed with the bridal party all morning and it was just so fun! Meanwhile, Matthew and his friends hit the golf course for 18 holes of sun drenched golf before headed back to the hotel to get ready for the day.
Once the bride was in the dress it was go time. Throughout the day we enjoyed almost the entire property of Gamble Sands, capturing some of my favorite photography moments of all time! The wedding crew arrived to the ceremony in golf carts before walking down the aisle. Summer’s mom had a golf course wedding and they perfectly recreated the scene of dad and daughter arriving in the cart. How sweet right?! The ceremony was beautiful and a real reflection of how well Matthew and Summer compliment each other and are ready to love and live together for the rest of their lives! There weren’t many dry eyes in the audience.
After the ceremony the bride, groom, and witnesses headed out to the infamous Gamble Sands’ second hole to watch Matt and Summer play one hole of golf. Summer got a birdie in HER WEDDING DRESS. I freaking love those pictures. I kept saying to myself “Oh my gosh, this is freaking amazing.” A champagne pop and toasts followed the signing of the marriage license then it was back to get the reception rolling!
Wedding planner Ellie Haisch was busy working her wedding magic to make everything seamless, perfect, and beautiful! Summer said her vision was “dainty and simple.” It was and it was perfect! It really let the resort’s natural beauty and the bride and groom’s effervescent personalities shine even brighter. Also- Gamble Sands’ taco bar was flipping amazing. That shrimp and pork?! Dinner was enjoyed with the view of the Columbia River and a glowing sunset after a light storm skirted the area. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for May!
The reception eased into the party with toasts (and roasts! 😉 ), a smashing open bar, and incredible DJ that hit all the right beats for this crew. And this crew was a DANCING CREW. Oh my goodness they had so much fun and it was so fun to photograph! Love myself a hot dance floor. So hot, that at one point shirts flew off, a chair was placed center floor with Summer in it, and the boys gave her the dance show of a lifetime. I really just need all the emojis to describe this show, words don’t suffice. To cool off after the show the groom was carried down to the pool where golf cart floaties were hailed for a last kiss and dunk.
Summer and Matthew, I’m so grateful I got to capture your wedding day and I’m so excited for the rest of your lives together and the other monumental moments we plan to capture together! Cheers loves!!
