Kim and Neal

Mountain Springs Lodge: a Leavenworth, Washington Wedding

Kim and Neal were married in the lush area outside of Leavenworth, Washington, just a few miles from Lake Wenatchee, at Mountain Springs Lodge. Despite Washington’s largest forest fire breaking out the week before on a nearby mountain, they were in the clear—and went on to have the most incredible wedding day.

We began with a few getting-ready photos before heading to Lake Wenatchee State Park for their first look right on the water. It was so beautiful. I’m always thrilled when couples choose to step off-site from their venue—it adds so much variety to their gallery and showcases just how stunning our state truly is.

Their ceremony started like any other… until the giggles began to spread. The videographer and I exchanged confused looks, scanning the crowd, until we realized the processional music was a classical instrumental version of “Teenage Dirtbag” by Wheatus. Absolutely iconic.

After the ceremony and a quick license signing, the true stars of the show arrived—Gus and Waylon, the llama rental duo. Their entrance was hilarious and perfectly on-brand for an already creative, uniquely them wedding day. Kim and Neal know how to have fun and make unforgettable memories, and the rest of the night followed suit. From a live band to dancing the hora, and celebrating all weekend with a close-knit crew of friends, they created a wedding experience no one will ever forget.
