September Sun Mountain Lodge Wedding

March 11, 2025

At 35 years old I’ve gathered a handful of happy places around the world. But despite experiencing some of the most breath-taking places in Italy or Spain, the places I feel most replenished are much closer to home.  One of the top places being Sun Mountain Lodge outside of Twisp and Winthrop, Washington. It’s easily my go to couple’s getaway location for my husband and I in anytime of the year. Winter months finds Sun Mountain Lodge nestled in snow drifts with those crisp blue skies, hot tubs bubbling, and bedroom fireplaces ablaze. In the summer you get those toasted pine smells in the dry hot breeze as you hike the surrounding trails, play pickleball, or just read a book in the serenely quiet pool overlooking the green dramatic Cascade foothills.

Have I sold you yet? 🙂

All that to say, I couldn’t imagine a more memorably romantic spot to get married and celebrate with friends. When Madeline and Max reached out about their Sun Mountain Lodge Wedding I was so excited to take my first wedding photographs there and commemorate their incredible day. Madeline looked gorgeous in her elegant fitting lace gown finished with removeable lace sleeves and half veil. The men looked dashing in blue suits against the summer landscape and clear skies. The sun shown gorgeous the whole day and the first look at the ceremony was as sweet as could be. The dance floor was hot with DJ Bullfrog leading the beats and everyone just had a fabulous time.

I cannot wait to get back to Sun Mountain Lodge again!
